Privacy Policy

Effective: April 25, 2026Last Updated: April 27, 2026

Plain-English summary: Twinkle Tara Tools is a browser-based utility site. Every tool runs entirely inside your browser — your files, text, and data are never uploaded to our servers. We collect basic analytics via Google Analytics and display ads via Google AdSense. That is the extent of our data collection.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Tool Input Data

Twinkle Tara Tools processes all tool inputs — including text, files, images, and code — exclusively in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No tool input is transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers. We have no technical ability to see or access what you type or upload into any tool.

1.2 Automatically Collected Technical Data

When you visit our website, standard web server logs and third-party analytics services may collect the following information automatically:

  • IP address (anonymised before storage)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL (the page that linked you to us)
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Screen resolution and viewport size

This information is collected in aggregate and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

1.3 Cookie Consent Preference

If you interact with our cookie consent banner, we store your preference (accepted / declined) in your browser's localStorage. This is a single key-value entry that stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

1.4 Theme Preference

Your dark/light mode preference is stored in localStorage under the key theme. This data never leaves your device.

1.5 Contact Form Submissions

If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not used for any marketing purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • Improve the website — Understanding which tools are popular helps us prioritise development.
  • Monitor performance — Aggregate traffic data helps us identify slow pages and technical issues.
  • Display relevant advertising — Google AdSense uses cookies to serve contextual and interest-based ads.
  • Respond to enquiries — Contact form submissions are used solely to reply to you.
  • Legal compliance — We may process data to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), operated by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) to collect information about your visit. We have enabled IP anonymisation, which means your full IP address is never stored by Google Analytics.

Data collected by Google Analytics includes pages visited, session duration, device type, and geographic region (country / city level). This data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Lawful basis (GDPR): Legitimate interests (website analytics and improvement). Where consent is required (EU/EEA visitors), Google Analytics is only initialised after you accept cookies via our consent banner.

4. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. AdSense is operated by Google LLC. Google uses cookies (including the NID, ANID, and IDE cookies) to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.

We have implemented Non-Personalised Ads (NPA) for visitors in jurisdictions that require prior consent under GDPR or similar regulations. Ads displayed to those visitors are based on page content rather than behavioural tracking.

Lawful basis (GDPR): Consent. AdSense advertising cookies are only activated after you have provided explicit consent via our cookie banner.

6. Data Retention

  • Google Analytics data: Retained for 14 months in Google's systems before automatic deletion.
  • Server access logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes, then deleted.
  • Contact form data: Retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, then deleted.
  • localStorage data (theme, consent): Stored on your device until you clear your browser data. We have no server-side copy.

7. Data Security

All traffic to and from Twinkle Tara Tools is served over HTTPS (TLS 1.2/1.3), ensuring all data in transit is encrypted. Because our tools are 100% client-side, there is no database of user inputs to breach. The attack surface for user data is as close to zero as technically possible.

We conduct periodic security reviews and apply prompt security patches. If you discover a security issue on our site, please report it to contact@twinkletara.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Twinkle Tara Tools is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.
